Idk what to say about the riffs themselves, because they sound kind of messy on their own. All I can say is that I can't really tell you're using delay or chorus on those riffs.

Like, you can't tell the difference between those 2 effects? I mean, I can hear a difference (probably because I recorded it, lol), but would you recommend turning down the distortion? I did crank it kind of high, probably.

As far as messy, it is intended to be an odd rhythm...but it'll probably sound messy until I (1 clean it up (lol, it was a very quick take) AND 2) write the drum tracks.

Idk if it's because the distortion is too high, but I don't really hear any delay on your delay take and I barely hear chorus in a couple parts on the chorus track.

Yeah, fair enough. It probably is the distortion. It may also be because I used the middle pickup setting, which is kind of a harsh sound. I'm going to re-record it tonight and post back.

Recording's kind of weird sometimes, cuz when I use my typical delay setting on my amp, I hear it very clearly, but then when recording, I have to turn the level up.

That was pretty cool, what program did you use for that?

Guitar Pro 5 for composing, Direct MIDI to MP3 Converter for sequencing.

If you want, I can run the midi through Reason 5 to make it sound cooler.

Ooh, sounds tempting. I'll send you the file (somehow?).
