Reading Music - 45rpm - 04-11-2022

For drums, it's really not that difficult, I think.  However, for guitar or bass, it's a bit tougher.   Anyway, tons of musicians have gotten good or great without reading.  Anyway, though, if you're a teacher of any instrument, a lot of, maybe most, people, demand a video because they have difficulty with reading.

I used to know how to read music, but I haven't done it in like 15 years.

I'd like to master reading on a guitar, just cause it's a challenge. Well, it might help out with some classical stuff.

I just learn tabs. Software like Guitar Pro is nice

I think it's good to know music theory and reading, though, you don't have to know it. Plenty of excellent musicians are illiterate. Anyway, it's good to know what's "under the hood" for a broader perspective.

Sadly some people made it pretty off putting to learn it.

It might aid in creativity to not know it.  I don't know.  Well, the stuff I come up with via fuzzbox or an acoustic is just messing around, not thinking about what I'm doing really.
