I Finally Released an Album Guize - Grungie - 09-05-2015 https://freshtendrils.bandcamp.com/album/covers-fuckups-and-everything-in-between Well it's a covers album, but whatevs. Go check it out! RE: I Finally Released an Album Guize - JCizzle - 09-05-2015 Will do after breakfast!
RE: I Finally Released an Album Guize - Grungie - 09-05-2015 Awe yeah RE: I Finally Released an Album Guize - JCizzle - 09-05-2015 Sounds pretty good production-wise, for 1) non-professional production, and 2) shoegaze/indie/alternative. You have a rather recognizable sound, which is always a good thing as an artist because you stick out amidst a bunch of bands that sound like another band (which is one thing I tend to bring up a lot to my pop band whose sound I feel gravitates around the standard for our type of music). The only big drawback I can mention is that your vocals are a bit flat in some songs. Otherwise, in Soul to Squeeze, the rhythm is a little off, but that's a small issue. In Take a Picture, there's a constant buzz in the background which I assume is due to your guitar/amp (on the flip side, I think it's one of the best produced pieces on the album). Same goes for Wonderwall (at least in the beginning). All in all, I feel I'd enjoy this a lot more if I was more into this style of music (though I've always had a soft spot for it), but I like the album for the most part. Good job, m8. RE: I Finally Released an Album Guize - Grungie - 09-05-2015 Yeah, the acoustic sim feedbacks like hell. Maybe there's interference somewhere in my room. |
