damn.

The last time I had a chance to see Slipknot was when I was 13 but I didn't for whatever reason.

Another good song and one that Danjo might like:
Oh, and I heard from a few different people that it's actually like 200 bucks technically but if you sign up for a email newsletter they lower it to sixty

Like, seriously, who does that?
Pulse of the Magoots is my favorite by them

dat groove
@wwf: Yeah fuck that.

@Phils:

dat groove

It is really weird having a discussion about this band in a setting where it is socially acceptable to not hate them.
Yeah, it's always weird when you go somewhere to talk about something you usually see criticized.
the only "metal" bands i like are protest the hero and new propagandhi

I had a Slipknot shirt in middle school. :twisted: Thankfully I developed some sense before high school started.

There's no set definition but the general consensus is that 'butt-rock' is a style of rock found in bands such as Nickelback, Shinedown, Hinder, Theory of a Deadman, Seether, etc.

My definition would include all of the above being classified as 'modern butt rock'. 'Classic butt rock' includes bands such as Poison, Motley Crue, etc. 'Butt metal' includes bands such as Pantera and as of 2013 Avenged Sevenfold.

Additionally, a significant portion of modern country-pop-rock falls under the aesthetic of butt-rock and fulfills many of the general requirements to be labelled as butt-rock, even if it's not technically rock.

Some people place Slipknot in this category, but I disagree. Stone Sour maybe.

This is a friendly jab and not intended to be an insult towards any of these bands even if I don't like the sound.
Carl, I'm ashamed of you for calling Pantera "butt metal". They're like the opposite of butt metal.
