Well yeah, but there are things that are wrong, for instance most scientists thought that the universe worked like "clockwork" until Quantum Mechanics came along. Einstein even adamantly thought that quantum mechanics was wrong, until evidence kept piling up in its favor. Even Erwin Schrodinger, practically the father of Quantum Mechanics, or at least all of the ideas which lead to things like the Uncertainty Principle, was trying to find a way to exactly predict the motion and prediction of these particles.

And Classical Mechanics is not wrong, per se, but it is for relativistic velocities. A lot of the ideas behind it carried over to special and general relativity, but some of them didn't, and a lot of the assumptions made were fundamentally wrong. Thats just part of the process.
That's what I mean though, classical physics isn't wrong, but largely obsolete.
Its not exactly obsolete either though, because engineers don't even learn modern physics.
Key word is "largely" :p

Either way, we seem to be in agreement.

Also, like an idiot, as per usual, today was spent procrastinating.

Reading theology :B

It's about Anselm and Ganilo's arguments with each other on the existence of God. I only read the abridged version:

I finally got around to this and geeeez. This is confusing and I have a hard time following Anselm's logic. I think I'm going to have to side with Gaunilo, though I might just be misunderstanding the argument.
Yeah, we're agreeing. I just like to remember that we're no smarter than anyone from any other period.
Yep. Unfortunately few people hold the Socratic view that we are all ignorant.
Thats because ignorant people are ignorant of the fact that they're ignorant.
Three dangerous bonds of a vicious cycle - ignorance, arrogance and bigotry.

- Arrogance makes one bigoted due to a fear of being wrong.
- Bigotry makes one's mind unchangeable and closed to refutation, not just making one, but keeping one ignorant.
- Ignorance paves way for arrogance due to a superiority complex defined by believing that one knows more than one actually does.
So I wanted you guys to know that the other day my professor used the word "mushy" about 20 times when describing protons and what happens in particle accelerators. I didn't know mushy was a scientific word.
Well, 'stuff' is a scientific term, so dunno
