They're not. But all of his films do tend to have violence. As an example, Gran Torino, which is about the bond that forms between a really grouchy old man and a Hmong teen, has the main character dying to several gunshot wounds. It also has the Hmong teen's sister being raped by her cousin and a few of his gang buddies (not shown, but the aftermath is shown, and her face is fairly bloody still).
Gran Torino is not a Tarantino movie.

Or am I misunderstanding you?
I read it the same way, Phils
(12-04-2013, 06:42 AM)Danjo Wrote: [ -> ]My comment to you Joel is that destroying inanimate objects in video games can sometimes be just as good for venting as attacking living things, so I don't know if it necessarily has to be a bloodthirsty thing, unless you're talking about destructive behavior in general.
I think most gamers will tell you it's more exciting to kill than to vandalize in a video game (unless you're playing Burnout or Jet Set Radio or something where vandalism in the main objective).

I'm just kind of disturbed by the fact that people actually enjoy violence and that literally the only thing that makes it entertaining to them is that it's fictional (and even then, many people are still gonna go on gore sites to watch real violence and what not, which to me is especially disturbing). Suffering and pain are still being depicted, so I'm having a hard time processing that in my mind.

That said, I tend to over think things a lot, so I dunno. I just personally never liked extreme violence and don't get why people enjoy it, especially when it comes to brutal and sadistic violence like in horror movies Confusedhrug:

Also, virtually all games have some degree of violence to them, and I play video games (for example, I played Castlevania: SotN this summer and it has some pretty graphic depictions including a bloodied torture chamber and a zombie that splurts out blood like a fountain when you defeat it; still a really good game).

Finally, I'm quite cynical and don't trust humanity.
I would definitely draw the line at real violence. I don't really like horror movies, except like The Shining because it has that classic movie vibe. And I can say that I like fight scenes in movies much more for the artistry of the movement and the skill being portrayed than the actual violence. It just makes it more interesting when theres an interaction between two or more people instead of one person and inanimate objects.

I understand where you're coming from but to me its not as big of a deal I guess.
I see. Well, that's really your point of view; many people love gorey horror movies, which I'll never understand.

And I've read horror (read: Creepypasta) and the things that scared me the most tended to be the least violent. Not sure why.
I was playing GTA V and got a bus full of people. I then blocked the doors and lit it on fire.

I then stood there and took slefies of me standing in front of the bus

It was hysterical
Yeah, I guess I was just sorta letting you know that you aren't alone in not liking violence, while at the same time expressing that some of it doesn't bother me. Or I'm just kinda saying whatever words come to my brain.

You can take selfies in GTA now?
