My country would come to a total standstill if that man dies and there are so many conspiracy theories around is death as well. Like there is this one radical group called "Suidlanders" (People from the South) that believe that the day that Mandela dies, all white people will be killed off, mass genocide with pangas. They call it "Nag van die Lang Messe" (Night of the Long Knives). They believe the only reason the blacks have not yet killed us is out of respect for that great man.
I was in Cape Town this afternoon and there are already banners hanging everywhere saying "In Honour of Mandela".

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela (Xhosa pronunciation: [xoˈliËÂɬaɬa manˈdeËÂla]; born 18 July 1918) is a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary and politician who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He was the first black South African to hold the office, and the first elected in a fully representative, multiracial election. His government focused on dismantling the legacy of apartheid through tackling institutionalised racism, poverty and inequality, and fostering racial reconciliation. Politically an African nationalist and democratic socialist, he served as the President of the African National Congress (ANC) from 1991 to 1997. Internationally, Mandela was the Secretary General of the Non-Aligned Movement from 1998 to 1999.
He also won a Nobel Peace Prize for his work.
That's pretty sad. But I must say he has lived a long and distinguished life. I hope he lives for a while though.
Obligatory wedding songs are Hi Ho Silver Lining by Jeff Beck, Come On Eileen by Dexy's Midnight Runners, and Celebration by Kool & The Gang.
God, I hate Celebration by Kool & The Gang.
I don't think I (or anybody else) has ever had a good time while listening to it.
Although, if the bride is called Eileen, maybe steer clear of Dexy's.
Bit graphic.
I kinda like Celebration ;_______;
and lol about Eileen

I saw the other day that he was in his nineties and I was surprised he was still alive (no offense). I thought he had already passed away until a while ago.
