Tell me how this example is demeaning and separating from society:

So, basically, they're kind of doing the "us & them" thing. They're subdividing into several groups (my niggas, his nigga ass, you nigga), but it's sort of unspoken that that people who aren't "niggas" aren't part of "us".

I never bought this reclamation argument. It doesn't suddenly make it non-demeaning because you've "reclaimed" a term. It just means you're now using that term in a different context. However, the underlying meaning is the same and that context is usually an "us & them" context.

Well, that's kind of what I mean by race doesn't matter. Yes, there's a difference in how different races look and some of the general mannerisms and cultural origins. But that's all surface superficial stuff.

I'm rather new to the Hardcore forum, but those guys are more concerned with social issues than the Pit. You basically walked in there going, "Hey, guys...I'm making fun of you, but it's a joke. Ok?" And they reacted as you would expect really. I told you; they don't like trolling in most forums outside the Pit. That's all over now though. 'S all good.


Anyway, the Hardcore guys are rather cool, when you get to know them. I've only been posting there regularly for about a month, and I like it. At times, it can be a bit of a bitchfest, but I just ignore that and move on. hrug:

My favorite forum outside the Pit is always SnL. Never have I seen a group so tight and at the same time not cliquey at all. They talk about how cliquey they are a lot, but they're definitely not. They don't say anything negative about other forums, even, always wanting more people from other forums to come in and make the place more lively.

They get trolled like heiilll. Trebor did a lot of it IIRC. No shits were given, laughter ensued, we moved past it.

I don't know, the vibe I was getting off the HC forum is that they're just twenty-something year olds who want to play mature adulthood. It freaked me the hell out.

I'm not too big a fan of humbleness anymore. The only reason I was ever humble is because I was scared people would think badly of me if I wasn't, so it wasn't true humility. Now I just want to enjoy myself, even if I'm making "look at how awesome I am" jokes.

haha, i can see how it didn't work in retrospect. The joke reinforces the idea of the tribal mentality instead of diluting it (even if it's mocking it), so I was instantly viewed as an "other".

And yeah, that was a weird, weird side of Blake to see. I always knew that he likes feigning being responsible and mature, but not to the point where he takes things so seriously. I don't really mind what elly said or did, I know how he is now. No problem with him at all tbh.



I say 'nigga' quite a lot. I sing along to rap songs ffs. If you say nigger it'll probably make me angry, but nigga is cool.

I have no income and no privilege. I can say nigga without offending anyone but privileged people.


EDIT: Sam, we are DEFINITELY not equal lol. We should, but reality begs to differ.

I play Ocarina of Time on a 64 emulator. Controls took some time to get used to but not very long (hour or so of playing). First time playing Zelda, too. Loving it.

Well VI and VII are the easiest ones to get into, though FYI if you're emulating the SNES version of VI, it's called III (because of a sort of TL;DR reason). Though I really enjoy V too.

I played Majora's Mask recently and I really enjoy it more than OOT

I downloaded FFVI yesterday and died at the first boss

But yeah, my favorite Zelda is Oracle of Seasons. Here's the list of the Zeldas I've played and I've loved all of them:

I wanna check out Final Fantasy too. Are there any on N64? What would be a good one to start with?
