That's true. I don't
dislike singles, but more often then not, they seem to have certain common elements that sort of "soften" songs to me
hrug:
I just listen to songs I like. There are bands who have some songs I think are great and songs I find boring.
I don't hate them either, I just find it really weak if the only good songs were the singles. Everyone already heard the only songs worth listening to on your album.
Yeah, there's that too. There's a reason the most popular groups tend to have many hits off of one album.
Regarding British comedy: I like British comedy but I don't know much about it; I don't know much about comedy in general and I don't watch TV so I don't know very many shows from any country. This may sound dull but I can usually only find something funny if it is in real life and situational. There are good humorists out there but even then I'm just silently amused, not laughing or anything.
Regarding the current fanbase discussion: It doesn't bother me any more, unless someone wants to tell me I'm wrong about Sigur Ros or another band I love a lot when they've only heard two songs. Even then, I'm okay with them just liking the two songs, just don't try and tell me I'm wrong. :p
Generally speaking,
British humor > American humor.
But again, I like Monty Python and Red Dwarf as well as The Big Bang Theory (yep) and The Simpsons.
Lol @ that Atheist Unite thread.
I have been making some really stupid posts lately.
That thread is no exception. I have completely lost my soul.
Edit: Not that I believe in souls of course.
That charity does seem really self serving to make Atheists look better instead of just wanting to help a person in need.

Yeah, it is. I would only donate money to one person like that if I personally knew them, and not to 'unite with atheists'.
To clarify, it's not like I'm appalled by it, but there are better alternatives (and I Ali made the point you could divide the money but even then I think I'd give it all to the others, which this lady would still benefit from).
Outside of her being Atheist, she doesn't really seem more important than the rest of the community there. I'd rather donate to a charity for an entire town benefit than for a single person because we share a single belief.
