Hey guys do I come off as a white knight?
Edit: Not seeking attention, just sometimes I post something and think 'I could have worded that differently'.

I came very, very close to posting this before I realized it wasn't going to do any good.

Tbh I don't get this whole "white knight" thing you guys keep talking about. I wanted to be clear on it so I looked it up and it doesn't fit the way you guys are using it at all.
But I don't find you annoying at all when you do it. It seems genuine and for the greater good.
Okay I feel validated :p
A lot of what I say is heavily misinterpreted (on either side) on that site though.
I've realised I really hate the bluntness of Western society (which applies to non-Western places to varying degrees and in different ways of course). I hate how excited we are to enter a debate/argument or as the white people blog says, 'be offended' just so we have an excuse to tell everyone how wrong they are, which is why these websites are full of people screaming insults at each other with no purpose. It's always irritating when I say something politely and some guy is screaming at you (either in real life or on the internet). And it's really never genuine. Like that time on UG when everyone was calling me sexist (which while I am not and everyone was heavily misinterpreting what I meant, I did word some things incorrectly so I can understand it a bit) but since some of those people were talking about jacking off to girls they see throughout the day just before criticising me I can't help but feel they were insulting me just to make themselves look good.
I dunno, Debbie sort of originally came up with what I use the term 'white knight' for; a guy who treats all women like queens and isn't obsessed with petty things like looks or bodies, and will protect those he cares about.

I don't think that's really just western society in general, that behavior is fairly specific to white middle class people (I've rarely seen other ethnicities go out of their way to school people in being offended unless you did something blatantly racist). Those people who are quick to school those in what's "politically correct" or whatever are usually really contradictory to what they're saying. Like some of those male feminists are supporting female equality, but also support male double standards, or men losing certain rights. Some of those arguments are also reading like women are so weak and powerless to men, we have to treat them above first class citizens or else you're a misogynist.

Well when I said 'all of Western society' I didn't just mean like that example. You don't have to do go out of your way to be annoyingly blunt.
But you are right, and this is why I will never be at peace with myself.

Wait, is this pointed at me? Not sure.

No, I was just using second person.
