Usually only takes me a night or two to unlearn my bad habbits. Sometimes I'll be stuck on a guitar line, go for a sleep, and then I can play it fine.
Also, sup everyone!
That happens to me with song writing. I'll stop playing for a while, sit down for a little noodle and come out with a riff I really like, or I'll get a line idea in my head and suddenly I'll have a song/poem around it.
I think it's to do with state of mind. After so long of not quite getting a song right, or a drought of creative success, you get stuck in that state of mind of expectation of going wrong. When you've had a break, it's less fresh in your mind and you've got more positive from other things, so you've got a better attitude.
u know, it's pretty fun reading old threads on UG's bands and artists forum. Part of it is how some users have changed since 2006, and also because it's funny seeing them mention things like Limewire, and websites like Myspace and Purevolume.
Limewire...that's an oldie but a goodie...
I've never actually used Linewire before, but it's too late now.
Ah, good old 2006... before the Rick Roll, the iPad, and Justin Bieber. Back when I listened to Dragonforce.
Holy shit, that was 8 years ago!
Oh God, Limewire.... My eldest sister used to use that, and it slowed down every computer on the network, it was so frustrating. Then of course there was the time she downloaded something that turned out to be a virus, which infected all 3 of our computers... Nice.
This is just hearsay for me, but wasn't Limewire really bad with viruses?
I remember torrents used to slow down our whole network at home back in like 2007 or something, but that was also the time when it took like 15 mins to load a 5 minute Youtube video.
All my friends used Limewire back in those days, and I used it once or twice. The sound quality was terrible. It did have a reputation for viruses but I didn't use it enough to deal with that.
