I have a $40k piece of paper that says otherwise.
Yeah but I'm pretty sure you're exaggerating and/or being self-deprecating towards your field by denouncing it all as 'trivia'.

This is a good idea.
History's a good choice though because it's useful and applicable to a range of things, so it's attractive to employers and whatnot. It's a facilitating degree, so to speak.

Tbh some of it kind of is. Like how necessary is it to know that Constantinople used to have a giant chain through the Bosphorus, preventing invaders from entering the city through that way?

Never heard that one before. :p

Well over here it is. Primarily because of the skills you learn over the actual content. That's what I've heard anyway.
Still not as great as biochem though. I mean, is History developing treatments for malaria, the disease which has killed 50% of humans to ever walk the Earth? Huh? Yeah, that's what I thought.

First part is true.
Second part: If it wasn't for history teachers I wouldn't worship the constitution and founding fathers and I wouldn't be afraid of the muslamic ray gun. :thumbs up:
Ah yes because science is the result of Einstein (who, as I learnt in history, was the founder of science) getting drunk with devil and having pre marital sex with a muslamic queerosexual man.

Oh come on. Don't tell me "How many valence electrons are required to get an Iodine atom?" or "Name the main developer of the theory of loop quantum gravity" aren't
Who Wants to be a Millionaire material.

Yeah, well biochemists created HIV. So hah.

Evolution is a lie too.
