Yeah, cuz I was talking about buying some manga, and I'm super stoked the release date this one girly romance one I love is getting closer, and I've been waiting since October when it was announced. Someone's response was "why are you buying it? You can just read the fanscans for free" why the fuck not? I like the show so I'm buying the manga.
Bingo! If you wanna support things you like, it's your fucking money.
The first volume is $8.66 on Amazon, so it's not like it's that unreasonable of a price. Also this stuff doesn't all come out at once, so I don't see what's wrong with slowly collecting this stuff (or even when it is all released). Apparently it's a hard concept for people to grasp.

Well actually how everyone spends their money affects everyone else. Economics bitch!
But yeah, its pretty sad when you have to defend yourself for spending money on something to support the people who made it.
Yeah, it kind of feels like entertainment is getting devalued when you have to justify buying stuff you like.

yea, it's really annoying
Yeah, I mean if someone said "Oh, I don't have money to watch that/read that" I would probably suggest that they go somewhere they could get it free, but I would never question them actually buying it. I figure if you like something enough it should be more than just a one time consumption, which warrants you actually purchasing it.
Yeah, the only time I question someone buying something, was like when Crashbreaka mentioned he bought three copies of Alter Bridge's latest album, and I asked "but why?" and he responded "cuz they're my favorite band and I wanna support them" and I'm just thinking "well... okay..."
I didn't tell him he couldn't do it, but it's whatever.

Well, I'd just buy a t-shirt or something if I bought an album and still want to support the band. But it's crash's money to spend how he wants.
If I was gonna do that I'd probably just go for a deluxe pack or something. I wouldn't really want 3 of the same thing, but if one was a special edition and the other was the normal release I could go for it.
Speaking of deluxe edition, I'm super stoked for Soundgarden releasing the 20th anniversary edition of Superunknown. I thought about doing that with RATM but never got around to it, I just got the remastered album on vinyl.
