I've done that so many times. BTBAM's first Parallax, Young Guns' Bones, and Emery's In Shallow Seas We Sail I definitely remember buying just because I really liked the album art. Oh yeah and Weezer's Death to False Metal but that was a mistake haha.
Lol don't remind me of Death to False Metal

I have the CD to Young Mountain, I think I paid $15 for it, but I don't care.
same to the bolded, lol
I've been slowly getting all of Mastodon's stuff on vinyl. I really like them but most of the reason is because their artwork is superb. Has definitely bumped it up on my purchase list
I want some Sonic Youth stuff on vinyl as well, as I love some of their covers.

I actually made a rule with myself to buy one album every time I go to a record store based entirely on the artwork. Cover, band/album name, song names, whatever. Found some pretty cool stuff (and some pretty shit stuff) that way.
So, yeah.
Yeah, I don't blame you, but it is kind of funny to your friends "hey check out this album I bought, it sucks ass, but look at that cover"
I've never bought an album on cover art or decided to listen due to cover art. I go with the name. I speculate the genre based on the name and then listen to it. These days I find new music through twitter. I check out all the bands that add me. Some are really good and some are exceptionally shit.
there's always those album covers that you totally judge wrong. like i thought "since i left you" would be some emo rock album or that Boris was gonna be pop punk
So my dad found a tablet at work and brought it home, but sadly the touch screen doesn't work, so it's just a paperweight.
