I was helping my brother move out of his dorm last year, and the guy left his 8GB flash drive behind, so my brother "stole" it.
We pop it in my computer expecting gay porn, and the only thing on the flash drive, is a picture of the guy's face.

Why? 'Cause it's so fucking true!
I kind of dislike when people who don't play any kind of instruments talk about what's more musically complex than what, since they're usually wrong. I was having a discussion with someone over Green Day, and the guy was commenting on how Green Day's first album was more musically complex than 21st Century Breakdown.
While Green Day aren't complex by any means, you can definitely agree that the stuff on 21st Century Breakdown has more going on than 1039 Smoothed Out/Slappy Hours, with shifting dynamics, utilizing multiple guitars, some even have time signature changes, and a couple end in a different way from how the song starts.
Despite the first album having a bunch of songs that sound the same, and even use the same drumlines in all the songs, I guess some aspects seem flashier to non-players with the guitar solos, and palm muted riffs. Like in the song Dry Ice or I Wanna Be Alone
can we agree at least the american idiot was their best album?
As much as I enjoyed American Idiot, Insomniac is my favorite.
ehhh
i dunno american idiot was always the perfect blend of pop and punk for me, after was too poppy and before was good but still not as good as AI.
insomniac was p good though
Idk after all these years of listen to AI, there aren't many songs that have much staying power when I'm listening to it nowadays. I only really care for a couple of songs like Letterbomb and Whatsername.
I've always been a big fan of the abrasive nature of Insomniac.
something about the shortness and...and i dunno i can't get past this feeling that the songs are missing something. i can't place what but there's a gap that needed filling
I can see that, you got 14 songs, and it's still less than half an hour.
