It's not but I can't say that any other European government or the US government is any different.

I was basically calling both racist just so that's clear. That last part of my post wasn't very coherent.

There's a certain guy on UG who is always calling Europe 'extremely more racist than the US' because they have nationalist parties and we don't but I don't agree because there are millions of Americans with the same sentiments, they just aren't in an official 'American National Party' (though we do of course have our own share of neo-Nazi groups, the KKK, etc.) The fact is that racism is a huge issue in both societies and really the entire world. I'm not aware of any national government that is really representative of its population.

Not an official source but I chose it because of the chart. The American system isn't very representative of the total population- minorities are primarily elected through minority-majority districts.

Westminster isn't very good either.
I bet all of the republican minority people are from NM, haha. Just because all of our politicians are hispanic.

Thanks for sharing those. Yeah, I guess they're just as bad as us.

Saw this on Facebook. Interesting how different municipalities deal with the homeless. And sad.

But Utah is full of mormons so it makes me skeptical that they didn't just start putting hobos in underground concentration camps or something. (Not really, but mormons can be super two faced.)

Nah, I know. It's silly though. Just give them homes and help them get basic jobs, and most homeless people become upstanding citizens, so to speak.
Yeah, I agree, although that can be pretty costly for the government. (The homes, not necessarily the jobs.)

Well, governments could start charging them rent once they get a job. Confusedhrug:
Most homeless people have jobs already... that's one thing many people don't know.

That's certainly not the case in the US. In the US, homeless people either have mental issues (which would be why they're homeless) or they can't find a job (and are too proud to invent a bullshit medical condition to get social security). So, they end up losing everything and sleeping on the streets. Some turn to drugs too, which is sad.
Most homeless people here either have no job or sell the Big Issue, a news magazine sold specifically by homeless people. You get the occasional busker too.
