Also weaboos aren't exactly helping it either by glorifying it to annoying levels. Even though a lot of them are pretty clueless.

One guy says he wants to eat eel because he sees them eat it in anime and it looks good. After some exchanges, I find out that he hates eating fish and I say "hold on, if you hate fish, then why do you wanna eat eel?" He responds "eel is a fish? Aren't they snakes?"

Well that story is a little different from what I'm talking about, but I had to share it.

To any of the non-American users here: how often do you hear people complain about America? I have no idea how other countries really view America haha.

Over here? Quite a bit. I mean, I often hear people make stereotypes or jokes about America's flaws/mistakes. Mostly it's superficial or artificial, and generally jokey. But yeah, it's done to death, it does get on my nerves.

Yeah, especially when they talk about healthcare or things like that. Which, yes...our healthcare/insurance situation is stupid. But don't try to say what works in your country will work in ours. There's too many differing variables.

It's not even shit like that, it's shit like this I see bitched about on the internet:

lol, how stupid. Most of those are just arbitrary.

Side-note: I like how they used Betty White (an American actress) memes for half of those complaints.
Man I hate those 'complaints'. I honestly don't get why people bitch about those things, especially the language things. Oosa's a different goddamn country, they're not us and who cares if they use things differently. Language evolves, it's what happens. It gets changed when different cultures use it, it's still valid language so long as you understand what they're saying.
That makes Shakespearean English not actually English, then Tongue
For the record, British people doing American accents are just as bad as the other way around, haha. Actors in higher caliber stuff have coaches so they do it fine, but sometimes in BBC stuff if they have an "American" they just sound really stiff an awkward.

Most of those are pretty dumb though. I wonder how many were actually caused by interaction with someone from the US.

Even if they were, it's not like you can gauge an entire country based on one idiot.
This is true. Especially when its a country full of millions of different kinds of idiots.
