I can't find any valid sources (unless you count Reuters lol) but I've heard that the Kurds in Syria declared independence. I was hoping that if anything good happened in this war that that would be it. Can anyone confirm this?

I can't confirm it, but I do know that the Kurds have been wanting a Kurdish state for a couple of decades at least. If they did declare independence, it's been long due.
