So can we please get back to what song was stuck in your head today and stop this genre wars? It's getting old and will never be resolved.

I call them fake genres because you stated they weren't real genres.
No, I never called Metalcore a fake genre. I may have called Nu-Metalcore a fake genre. I probably did.

I did say that Crossover-Prog is more of a collection of bands that mix Prog with pop song structures than a definitive genre, but that simply means it's more of a descriptor term rather than a genre. But it's still a term people use.

Well, fine...

Here's my song of the day:
I never said Metalcore was a fake genre, but I did say Nu-metalcore was fake since you stated it wasn't a real genre, hence why I say it's fake.

I can't find anything involving Nu-metalcore outside of UG, and the only thing I'm finding on Crossover Prog outside of Progarchives is on LastFM.

So I'm not finding legitimacy on something used on one or two sites.

I already said this was a UG specific term, and that we at UG's Hardcore Forum decided not to use it anymore. What's the issue here?

You're harping over a term that isn't even being used on UG anymore, let alone outside of UG.

It's your prerogative to decide if you think it's legitimate. It's used in Prog circles sometimes, as I said. Although, it sort of says something that LastFM uses that term, seeing as how that site isn't affiliated with any specific genre but tries to embrace all genres/bands/etc.

If it isn't being used anymore, why are you so butthurt over me dissing its existence?

I think you're misunderstanding me. I'm not upset at all over you dismissing the existence of it. Confusedhrug:
