I don't like the use of 'faggot' even when it's a joke used at non-gay people because even when it's joking here's a bit of homophobia in it (for example, 'fag' jokes often follow 'dick in your mouth' jokes and such).

There are people in my family who use the word 'fag' to mean cigarettes. Some of my recent ancestors (just died a few years ago) had the surname Fagg and were once tobacco plantation owners who imported most of their crop to England, so they think they coined the term (lol, probably not). They were also slave owning pricks, leading to my family thinking that the depiction of slavery in modern textbooks to be liberal propaganda. /shame.
I also tend not to use "fag" or "retarded" because of political incorrectness (Grungie might get all up on my shit now though, lel)
There are only a few legitimate cases where you can call someone a true faggot without any gay slandering involved.
I don't ever say fag or faggot. I am guilty of saying things are retarded or gay when I mean stupid though.
So I had hotmail.com blocked on here because of the adbots, and on another forum, someone sent me a PM saying they tried to register, but they were blocked because they were using a hotmail account, so I figured we're losing potential members by having it blocked. So 48 hours ago I unblocked it and we already had about 20 spam accounts from hotmail...

I wish Spork would install other security measures instead of just the security questions.
Can't they make another e-mail? I have like 6 email accounts lying around. I realize its a pain just to make an account, but you end up having a gmail account for youtube and like a college email account and stuff usually.

I was wondering what was with the influx of spam threads.
I did tell someone to just use a different email, but apparently there's people out there with only one email account. I'm going to give this a couple more days to see how far this spambot problem goes.

On a different note, I feel that there's a point where some people get wrapped up in a fandom to where it gets a bit outrageous, like where it goes past a hobby to it just being your entire lifestyle.

On anime forums, I see people who only watch anime, nothing else, play anime style video games. The only music they listen to is either anime opening and ending themes (or bands that sing their favorite theme songs), nightcore (trance music where it's sped up to where the vocals sound like cartoon characters), or Vocaloid music. Some of them even say they won't listen to any music that's not in Japanese. Also they wear clothes of their favorite fandoms, try to learn Japanese (badly) and eat at Asian restaurants and claim everything is Japanese.

I could go on, but there's definitely a point where your obsession get too outrageous.
I've decided I have a problem with people who tend to think they're so damn smart that they can be both condescending when you disagree (because clearly you're being stupid for pointing something out else or for just plain disagreeing with them) AND who, even when proven wrong, take fucking forever to shut the hell up (and even then, they never admit they're wrong -- everyone else is just stupid or something). Usually these types are intelligent enough to make what would be a decent argument, if they didn't ruin it by being condescending and calling people stupid all the time. Their argument also tends to be on some point that really isn't practical or isn't supportable (except with their opinion apparently, because that's fact). But, hey...why should they worry about whether they're being an asshole? And why should they consider that there's more to it than what they think? They're the kind of people that you just can't talk to.
Those people are fun to harass though.
Yeah, theres definitely a point with anything where you're obsessed, and thats pretty much always bad. Unless like you're a scientist and you're obsessed with your work and that helps you get shit done.

Yeah, I always try to be really fair when I argue after years of making an ass out of myself on the internet, haha. And I'm always willing to admit I'm wrong if someone has a very good argument against me, like a scientific article or something especially.
