I'm sorry :hug: I remember when mine passed away. It's never easy.

Damn, that's tough. I've had to deal with it a few times.
@fantanoice: :hug:

I'm genuinely sorry to hear that and I hope you are doing okay.

If I disappear for a month you all know what happened.
Ah man that sucks. If it's any consolation, there are endless piles of bones to chew in dog heaven and they get to sit on the sofas and everything.

Meanwhile, I'm having a life crisis. Last few weeks I've been deliberating what to do at uni next year - linguistics or biological science. They're too far apart to do a joint honours, and they're my two favourite subjects but I just don't know which one I'd rather study for 3 or so years and which one gives me a more preferable career. I've got the grades for both, I've prepared my applications for both, but as to which one I'll send, I can't decide. The deadline is tomorrow.

I'm leaning towards bio. I mean, linguistics probably has a wider range of potential careers, but I've always really really likes biology and my linguistic interest is only relatively recent.
To be honest, I'd say the world needs bio science guys more than it needs linguistics guys. Not that the one is more important than the other; it's just you may have an easier time finding a job and such as a bio grad.
I would think bio would give a much wider range of jobs
