I did this last fall. I really didn't get a lot of hits until this summer. It wasn't until June that I was getting call-backs for interviews or that kind of thing. Granted, I was looking at software developer positions, whereas it sounds like you're more looking for income to supplement things during school. But yeah...some months are better in terms of chances you'll get hired and stuff. Confusedhrug:
My dad is the guy who gives the interviews, and he says that he shakes his head when this exchange happens:

"So what makes you a good employee?"
"I work every day I'm supposed to"
"um... isn't that what you're supposed to do?"
"yeah, but I know lots of people who call in sick when they're not sick"

:haha:
Apparently it's pretty common.
lol. My dad gives interviews too but his stories aren't like that.

I want to make it clear that I am nowhere near that bad.

The only thing I probably fucked up (that I had control over) is they asked us all how we exercise (lol). I made a joke about my physical appearance and then said that I walk a lot and that I intend to find better exercise routines. >_> And I just simply didn't have as many relevant interesting things to say compared to people with six past jobs, in/out of college with a decided path (that doesn't sound stupid like mine), and kids.
:haha: Really?
Don't mock me. It's not my fault they couldn't just do a normal interview. >_>
Did they ask for your dick size?
If they didn't the job wasn't worth it anyway.
They didn't ask but I know they wanted to.

I had more typed out but it wasn't very appropriate. >_>
