What type of music do you like? and what is your fav. band?

I love metal and rock
I mostly listen to glam and classic rock (mainly 70s and 80s), but I enjoy most music genres including jazz, funk, fusion, blues, symphonic music, videogame music (some of the best music I've heard comes from videogames), amongst others.

Some of my favorite bands include Warrant, Electric Light Orchestra, Def Leppard, Extreme, Paul Gilbert, Cheap Trick, and so on.

As for music I don't like, I'm not fond of rap/hip-hop, "extreme" metal and dubstep.
eww warrant TongueTongue
I also like a couple Poison tunes >.>
I always get crap on UG about how I have a limited amount of stuff I like, when I think I listen to a fairly wide range of music.

I don't know many people who listen stuff from Converge, Protest the Hero, BTBAM, Opeth, and The Contortionist, to Neutral Milk Hotel, The Strokes, Beastie Boys, M.I.A., Green Day, Title Fight, Snowing, Muse, ect, to name some of the more popular stuff in certain genres.

Plus some punk, classic rock, classical, and other stuff

Not saying my taste in music is better than other's, or that I listen to obscure stuff or anything. Just that I think I have a fairly wide range of stuff I like.

idk
UG'ers will give you crap for anything you say

"It's not completely conventional rock, but not entirely some other genre either, or just a weird mixture of different genres? Throw it into alternative" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Pretty much. There's a ton of Alternative bands that don't even remotely sound the same.
