That's why I have a big problem with Legend of Mana. The game basically requires a guide. With how the game advertises itself with how many choices you get and how open it is, it's mind boggling with how precise everything has to be in the game to get certain quests started. It also doesn't help when you start a quest, it doesn't even tell you the objective, just a title of the quest.
It's annoying when you talk to a guy who just says "I need help", and a quest starts, and all it tells you is "Bob's boogers", then you're thinking "okay, so what do I do?". So you go online and find out that you have to use an item to open up a new map, then go through mazelike cave to find that item he really need, that he didn't tell you about.
