I think a lot of people who support communism just think "Well if it weren't for all those power hungry dictators it would have worked.", but the thing is, the fundamental problem with communism is it leaves the door wide open for power hungry dictators.
Sorry about your knee bro.
So I'm in an awkward situation with housing. My friends and I are trying to find a house to move into next year, and we located one which has room for us plus one other person. My friend Jordan's girlfriend (Amber) is currently living with her sister in a school apartment, and we've all been friends with his girlfriend and her sister for a long time. My friends girlfriend didn't turn in her housing application because she's going to live with us, but that means her sister loses the apartment because both of them would have had to sign to keep the same apartment. This shouldn't be a big deal because her sister was planning on moving out anyway.
Well the sister freaked out and went running to her mom "Amber got me kicked out of the apartment, now I'm homeless, blah, blah, blah." (She's not handling college well and has been known to be completely irrational at all times.) So their mom told Amber we have to let her live in the extra room in the house we're looking at. As I said her sister has not handled college well. She's very irresponsible, does not clean up after herself, has shitty friends who break stuff and don't own up to it, and all she ever does is complain about how hard her life is and how much her day has sucked. Needless to say, my friends and I refuse to let her live with us. Now she feels like all her friends have abandoned her, and she wants to know why we won't let her live with us.
I should add that since the sisters have been living together all they've done is get more and more mad at each other, and its pretty clear that the only way to fix that is to separate them. I do still care about her as a friend, but for the past two years she's just been kind of a crappy person. Nothing is going to get better for her unless she starts taking responsibility for her own actions, and until then I just can't really deal with her anymore,
