The Religion and Philosophy discussion thread! - JCizzle - 02-03-2013

Greetings, and welcome to the religion and philosophy discussion thread, where we sit on fancy armchairs in front of warm fires whilst sipping on an aged scotch, discussing the aforementioned matters like grown ladies and gentlemen.

Now I know that obviously a lot of views that may be discussed within this thread are subject to ridicule and/or criticism, which is why I ask that we remain civil and mature when discussing them, despite the unpopularity of certain views (including sensitive subjects such as Young-Earth Creationism, abortion and gay marriage). Remember that we all come from different backgrounds and that our views are subject to change; people come from all walks of life including Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Paganism, Atheism, Pantheism, Agnosticism, Deism, Wicca, Zoroastrianism, Sikhism, Jainism, Voodoo, Rastafarianism, Scientology, amongst many others, which is why any non-constructive, pointless, hateful and/or offensive posts will constitute as spam and will be treated as such, and thus reported to the mods. Instead of condemning someone for their "frivolous" views, one should educate them. This is a discussion thread. No one here is a heretic. Refer to diagram for clarification.

All that being said, let us commence discussing Smile

UPDATE 23/07/2013: I think I can safely say that we know how to play nice in this thread and remain civilized. So if you're new and curious, but at the same time afraid of reading up on this thread, don't you worry about it Smile

Your views are wrong and mine are right because you're stupid

Is that how these threads work?

RE: The Religion and Philosophy discussion thread! - debbie - 02-04-2013

I hope not... We started so well in the first one.

Not really Debbie, remember Adam fucked it up temporarily?

This will get on the right track soon enough

My ideas on religion and stuff:
"believe what you want, but don't be a dick about it"
