RE: The Venting/Ranting/Hugging Thread! - JCizzle - 08-20-2014 I agree with both of you. At this point, it's probably best to make your own card altogether. RE: The Venting/Ranting/Hugging Thread! - Mr Maps - 08-20-2014 I dislike cards, especially those with ready done messages. Generally, giving anything material to a person makes me real anxious, it's stupid. I feel either really insincere or just don't know what to get them and worry it'll be a bad gift and all that. Cards aren't as bad as gifts though. And yeah, ready written messages are dumb. It's not exactly difficult to write something nice. I usually draw something for my friends and give them a personal message. Family, I buy cards for, but they care so little for that sort of thing, it doesn't matter, so we just do nice things for the day or whatever. I prefer to show goodwill and all in person than through a card. RE: The Venting/Ranting/Hugging Thread! - crazysam23 - 08-20-2014 Well, I'm not very good at writing messages. So, cards are good point to help me start a message. I can use the prewritten message as a jump-off for my short message. RE: The Venting/Ranting/Hugging Thread! - Mr Maps - 08-20-2014 Hey, hey, hey, you there! Yeah, you, the one with the beard! What the hell do you think you are playing at? Coming in here, making positives out of something in spite of our bitter cynicism! The cheek! But seriously you do make a good point. It doesn't bother me thaaat much, just a bit. Unless it's a really bad joke. Then it becomes personal. RE: The Venting/Ranting/Hugging Thread! - crazysam23 - 08-20-2014 :haha: But yes. RE: The Venting/Ranting/Hugging Thread! - carlcockatoo - 08-21-2014 http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showpost.php?p=32899691&postcount=3 Damn it sam we already had this conversation. An 18 year old should be able to spend his own money on a guitar if he wants ffs (didn't want to derail that thread so I brought it here). Honestly did you parents put stupid restrictions on you like that when you were a legal adult? RE: The Venting/Ranting/Hugging Thread! - crazysam23 - 08-21-2014 (08-21-2014, 06:02 PM)carlcockatoo Wrote: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showpost.php?p=32899691&postcount=3TS never stated his age. But read the whole thread, please. (I missed the part where TS said he would be paying for it. Since TS is paying for it, an 18 year old can spend his or her cash however he or she wants, yes.) And, in the interest of not repeating ourselves, let's not rehash the conversation. RE: The Venting/Ranting/Hugging Thread! - Mr Maps - 08-21-2014 Pfft, yeah, yeah, 18 year olds, guitars, freedom, money... What. Ever. I think the more important thing of note here is Sam's sig because Terry Pratchett is one of the cashest writers there is. I just don't want you two to argue ;-; RE: The Venting/Ranting/Hugging Thread! - carlcockatoo - 08-21-2014 Make love not war. RE: The Venting/Ranting/Hugging Thread! - crazysam23 - 08-21-2014 (08-21-2014, 08:01 PM)carlcockatoo Wrote: Make love not war. |
