That made my day. For the record, Lancashire and Hertfordshire are pretty far apart, more or less opposites, though I do take your point.
I know. I just picked 2 random shires arbitrarily. Tongue

Man I hate checking the mail, there's always a bunch of wasps around the mailbox. This is what usually happens, I either see a bunch of wasps, go back inside and get the wasp spray, and when I come back, they're gone. Or I go out with the wasp spray from the get go, and there's no wasps.

fucking a.

there was a door handle at a building that was shaped like a sideways "L" so there was an area you reached behind that you couldn't see and stuck my hand right into a wasps nest.

Sounds like a blast, I did something sorta similar by picking up a gas can to fill the lawn mower, and one of those bastards was hiding under the lip in the handle.

Wasp stings hurt quite a bit. Especially the swelling throbbing part.

You just need to dunk your hand in some meat tenderizer and it'll help with the venom.

RE: The Venting/Ranting/Hugging Thread! - Fantasyfanman - 05-29-2014

Is that true? I never knew that.

Would it work just as well if I hit it with a meat tenderizing mallet?

RE: The Venting/Ranting/Hugging Thread! - Grungie - 05-29-2014

Wasp venom is largely a protein, and meat tenderizer breaks down proteins.

RE: The Venting/Ranting/Hugging Thread! - Fantasyfanman - 05-29-2014

Meat tenderizing mallets also break down proteins.
