What tunings do you like to play in or find interesting? Is there a certain scale you like the sound of? Is there a particular mode you like to play in? Talk about it here!

Currently my guitar is in open g tuning, which is always fun. Barres everywhere. As far as modes and scales go, I am a fan of F# and A Mixolydian. The latter is probably my favorite if I am doing piano improv, it has a nice and mysterious sound to it.
Somethings from math rock bands are pretty fun, like FACGCE, or CGDGBD (with various capo positions), or DADF#AE

My main tunings are E standard or D standard, but I do like open D6/9 (DADF#BE).

You get brownie points for asking these questions, new kid. Smile

I generally use minor scales, with some accidentals. The accidentals typically allow me to define the "mood" in the way that I want.
I believe some Police tunes are in a different tuning. Otherwise, the suspended stuff would be massively difficult to play - I mean stretch your fingers, lol.

I'm not versed in how to play songs by the Police, but I know some of them are tuned in Eb tuning.
The different blues scales are interesting. They're the only ones I'm good at My non-blues playing involves arpeggios and playing around chords, not specifically using scales
