Entirely possible, it's just wayyy beyond what everyone expected. It was understood that she was gonna catch the bus right after leaving. My friend contacted the other vocalist (and old friend of his) and apparently no news.
Yeah, I'm just trying to think of positive reasons.

Still no news.
Maybe try calling her roommate or RA or something?
Her roommate is the person who contacted me telling me she still hasn't gotten home. We've resolved that we were going to wait until tomorrow to see what is going on.

Oh, um...yeah...shit. That sounds like a plan. If she is getting laid or staying at a friends or whatever, I doubt she'd appreciate you guys overreacting.
@wwf:
Nah, D standard, man. Best tuning. EVAR!

Isn't that the tuning for RATM's Calm Like a Bomb?
I wanna say yes, I know either the bass or the guitar or both is tuned down to a but I don't remember which
I've been playing in drop C lately. Pretty cool. I love D standard too, for acoustics at least, the extra bass just sounds really good.
I find dropped tunings to be limiting for me. I can make a lot more harmonic connections in standard tunings. Just habit, I guess.
