For some reason I can place the melody to the lyrics but not the song name.
(07-21-2014, 03:05 PM)Grungie Wrote: [ -> ]So I wrote a song that doesn't really have a typical verse chorus structure. I did a key change for what was supposed to be the chorus, but couldn't figure out how to get back to the "verse", so I sort of just kept going, and that's how the song went.
just call it "progressive"
Lel, but it's not really proggy, I'm gonna have it up in a few mins after I mix.
Cool
anyway, I played guitar for the first time in probably 3 months today. (just didn't feel like it for a while for whatever reason) I played this Protest the Hero song I had learned before, and played it better than I ever had on the first playthrough. I was playing that thing every day for about 5 weeks, never quite getting it done, and then I play it today after months of no practice and just kill it. What the fuck
I also almost learned all of Bloom by BTBAM which I couldn't play before at all.
I dun geddit...
That's how I am with video games sometimes. I couldn't beat this boss in Parasite Eve, and didn't play for 6 months, then pick it up out of the blue and kicked her ass in my first try.

That's happened to me a few times. Except replace months with weeks.
I don't understand it either.
Yea, it's not the first time it's happened. Though usually it's only after two weeks or so of not playing. After 2 and a halft to 3 months I thought I was gonna be rusty as hell, lol
Not complaining though. It felt really good :p
I think it probably has something to do with your muscle memory. Like when I learn a song, I always know all the notes, but sometimes I pick up bad habits and don't play things correctly even though I know how to, and I get kinda stuck like that. But after not playing, I still remember the right way to play but my muscle memory isn't locked into the incorrect way of playing, so I can play it better. idk, maybe that make no sense :haha:
