There's definitely pros and cons, but I decided to transfer to a place with more functionality and options, cuz I like the option to let me move elsewhere if I wanted to move.
I still have some nostalgia to the old place.
I just finished The Well of Ascnesion and I did NOT expect it to end like that. That was awesome.

Wasn't it?!
You're going to enjoy the last book in the series.

Of course. I remember that that was the main reason we changed spots, and Inst "refused" to change again.
Well the story of Inst, if you remembered, was that we first changed over, then Inst thought it was the greatest thing ever, but Adam hated the new theme and layout. Then I changed the them, and then Inst threw a bitchfit, because he thought the previous theme was god's gift to the earth. Then I said fuck it, and told everyone to go back.
Later I had the secret beta forum with 3 other people, while I figured out the forum software. Then when we moved back, Adam felt much better, but Inst threw another hissy fit, so I banned him and a few days to a week later, I closed old MTB.

But pretty much anything in that price range will unfortunately. I used a Peavey Vypyr 15 for a while and it was decent. It had a few good settings on it and quite a few meh ones but I still liked it for the most part. I see it might have been discontinued but I'm sure there's probably a newer model out by now. I really can't say if it's better than that Line Six though because I haven't actually played one.
I have a Vypyr too. It's good for a modelling amp in that price range. I've thought about selling it before but to be honest I'm not sure if I want to despite people making fun of them.
I've only 'test played' line six amps at the guitar stores so I guess I don't have enough experience with them to judge, but I much prefer the Vypyr.
I think we spent $200-250 on the Vypyr so with your price range you might be able to get a better amp. I got my fake AC30 for under $400.

Have you check out Roland Cube amps? They're in that price range. Good modeling amps. Also, they're built like a freakin' tank.

this is pretty sweet. Definitely at the top of my list now
@will. Yea, I'm gonna keep looking at those too. Depending on how much I want to spend when the time comes.
thanks guys!

Mhm. Now Inst is almost like a legendary creature.
I'm sort of ambivalent about bringing him back, cuz I know it'll bring up activity, but me and Debbie are also going to get annoyed to fuck with him, so I won't sell out to Inst.
