Sounds like they should have cleaned their house first, cuz that shit about the huge pile of roaches is insane. My recently deceased grandma's house is a mess, but goddamn.
@Fantasy is that a wolf spider?
Spiders don't scare me. 8)
Though last year one bit me in my sleep and I had a big (little over an inch in diameter) red bulge on my throat for two months. I definitely don't want to deal with anything serious like that. I sincerely hope you never have to deal with that.
No, that's a brown recluse. I've seen wolf spider here the size of my hand though.
I was thinking brown recluse, but it came out wolf spider lolderp.
I saw a black widow once in my life. Luckily the fucker was outside.
I've seen huge wolf spiders (indoors in my grandma's house >_>) and black widows (only outside). Never seen a brown recluse (or at least been aware of it) but if I saw one indoors I might cry (exaggeration but I probably would cry if it bit me.
Here's a list od things I've seen at my house that you don't want at your house:
Wolf spider (hand sized)
Brown recluse (hand sized)
Something that looked a lot like a trantula (about the size and thikness of a fist)
Garden snake (half a foot)
Centipede (about a foot)
King snake (at least two feet, I watched it swallow a baby bird whole, both were at the top of my driveway)
Skunks
Cockroaches (width of your hand)
Giant freakin' crickets that are the things of nightmares
And a moth that was at least three times bigger than my hand
Out of that list, when I lived in the middle of nowhere, the only things I haven't seen where brown recluses, foot long centipedes (we had the tiny ass ones) and the giant moths.
Where do you live?
I have seen multiple roaches that big or bigger (granted I have small hands), the wolf spider, a tarantula looking thing, the long centipede, a garden snake, and the giant crickets in my house (most in Texas but the snake was in Utah).
Brown recluse, skunk, and king snake are most worrisome. I used to see skunks all the time and have had some close encounters with deadly snakes, but knowing any of those were in my house would not be pleasant.
I'm cool with moths though and most giant moths I've seen are pretty cool. I don't think I've ever seen a moth that big out in the 'wild' though.
We've both lived in the middle of no where, we can relate tok crazy things in or around out homes.
I've also seen multiple walking sticks from the length of my hand to the length of my forearm.
Well walking sticks aren't dangerous
