You know, it's sad when you see clips of the most recent Power Rangers, and outside of a couple of "fancier" computer effects during the transformation scenes, the special effects haven't really changed in 20 years.
It's worse when you count the Japanese versions of those shows, on how they haven't changed since the 70's.

Which, as far as special effects goes, nothing charming about it.
It's probably because it's targeted at really young elementary school kids, so they give zero fucks about the special effects.
I know. But still. Spend $5000 on upgrading shit. lol

I've always noticed that. Power Rangers hasn't changed, but in a way, I kinda like it for that. It's amusing to my non5-year-old brain.
I guess it's sort of the style. Like how Lo-Fi is supposed to sound like shit.
They're just making sure its cheesy as shit, just like its always been.
