Well Josh is a big tab contributer. Though it's sad that people who have UG Plus for free don't even use it.
It's like how I have a premium Songsterr account for free for being a moderator at Mxtabs and it turned into Songsterr, and I forgot Songsterr existed. If I remember correctly, I was supposed to have one year free, but that was in 2010, so I'm not sure if they completely forgot, or they gave me wrong information. Not complaining as I got the better end of the deal.

It would be soo much easier if I did. Especially since I already know them all. But I'm too much of a perfectionist that I'm not satisfied until I know that's exactly the way the band plays it. It's a curse, really.
Edit: Ok I've definitely got the first 4 strings down without a doubt. I may have been reading too much into the fingers' positioning. I just need the last two. Those are harder to figure out, but at least I'm making progress. Feels good.
I was right about the first three, so right now it's C# F# C# F# ?? ??.
lol tunings.
So like, those two high strings are tuned higher than standard. Is this a normal thing with complex tunings? It's new to me because, like, I always thought if there's any tuning that goes an open note higher than standard it just used a capo.
So yeah. The tuning was C# F# C# F# C# F#. Everything matches up PERFECTLY. Now I venture off to tabbing.
It's not that unusual to tune up in alternate tunings. Some open tunings involve going up.
I wish I would've known that two days ago. :/
I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing when I try to figure out custom tunings lol
I have even less of an idea because I don't even know the name of any notes lol.
...Actually now that I think about it, I'm not sure that would help anyways.

Huh, how would knowing the name of the notes (ex.: "This note is A") not help? Although I can understand wanting to play in the tuning the band uses, sometimes it's more advantageous to know the notes rather than return. Because maybe you're like me, and don't like resetting up your Floyd Rose equipped guitar every time a band uses an odd tuning. So, I can simply learn the notes and not bother. The notes played (and how they're played) are more important than the tuning, anyway.
I used to play Bron Yr Aur, which is tuned CACGCE - the B string is tuned up one step

I normally learn it in the tuning first and then work how I can play it in standard so I don't have to tune every time I want to play it. Like Sonic Youth's Dirty Boots is really easy to transfer to standard from its original tuning. So yeah, I generally consider the notes themselves more important.
