So i'm getting a bit more serious with bass and like half of the stuff and wanna learn i need a low B string for it. I could just get a 5 string but i could also find a lot of use to the high C string so instead of later on buying a new bass yet again i prefer to just get a 6 string now.

So, i'm thinking of some Warwick basses, but there aren't many Warwicks at Israel, so anybody know some nice 6 stringers that are roughly 600$-1000$?

I'm still in the prosses of getting a new electric guitar, so it'll take me time to get the money though...
Fender Bass VI is the only answer.
I know it, don't like it very much tbh. The strings are very close and it's hard the pick with your fingers normally. Plus quality Fenders are not very cheap over here.

Fair enough. And yeah, they're quite pricey. The originals were a limited run and go for big money, while the only modern non-custom shop ones are £600. And they're not even based on original spec (because they're the Pawn Shop series).

There's also the Schecter Hellcat VI, which is similar design but uglier (IMO) and cheaper.

The only reason that I suggested VIs is that I can't stand 'traditional' six strings, as I find the necks uncomfortable as hell to play. So I'm a bit biased. Tongue
A Fender Bass VI is basically a baritone guitar because a Fender Jaguar Baritone is pretty identical:

Have you checked out Ibanez's 6 string basses?

Here's an SR506 for $700

I quite like the sound of Ibanez basses, but i never played one and i'm afraid the neck is super thin like on their guitars, i hate that

i'll try to check them out next time i'm in Tel Aviv

Yeah, looks like the neck might be a bit thin
nigga 5 strings is more than you'll ever need
I'm quite fond of bass tapping and those high slaps, and most of the bands i like have bassists that use 6 strings, so if i wanna learn their songs it'll make it a lot more comfortable

Plus more possibilities is more possibilities
