After a quick wiki, you're getting into the Deep Blood arc. That's when you meet Himegami, who's pretty cool. Too bad she's kind of pointless in season 2. After that is imo my favorite arc in season 1 with the sisters arc.
That's pretty much the only story arc I've seen where she's actually somewhat important. After that she just hangs out with Index and Miss Komoe.
FairyTail, Naruto Shippudden... Lost track of the animes though.

So, kind of like what Miss Komoe does now. Although, we haven't seen her for a few episodes, but her status as "adult we sometimes hang out with" is pretty confirmed at this point.
I've only read Naruto and One Piece (well, almost One Piece). Think I've read others but if my memories so shaky on them then I guess they can't have been all that great. tried to read Bleach at one point but after a while it got too exhausting.
I used to be into anime but I get tired of all the filler. I like my anime to be short and sweet.

Pretty much. I think she's just the adult supervisor for Touma and Index. You do get to meet his parents.
@Crash I agree, that's usually why I stick to 12 or 24 episode shows, or the longer ones that separate their seasons.
Anyone watch HunterxHunter? Pretty good action. Plot and character development kinda not much and the 2011 version's soundtrack is one of the worst I've heard (basically why I decided to post in here seeing as this is a music forum) since it uses music at inappropriate times since there's just not enough music (so a really serious scene will use the same music as a mildly serious scene).
I find 24 episode shows the hardest to watch. 12 episode shows tend to go by quickly enough and longer shows flow fast enough to stay interesting. 24 episode shows seem to be the slowest. Also they're harder to watch because I don't look forwards to getting to know the characters only to have the series quickly end. With 12 episode shows I usually don't get too much of a chance to fall in love with a character and with a longer series I know there are plenty of episodes to stay with them.
I disagree I love 12 and 24 episode shows, that's the bulk of what I watch. I like when the seasons are separated, because the shows that go on forever bore the fuck out of me.
What I like the most out of the shorter shows, is how they usually lack filler, and how they end before the story starts to get too silly.
Though I remember you hate movies too.
I don't "hate" movies. They do usually not have time to fit enough in though. Not the same issues as what I was saying about not being that keen on 24 episode shows.
A good anime should get better with time as it builds itself up with earlier episodes being the foundation so getting silly over time shouldn't be an issue if you choose carefully. But yeh maybe a longer series does have a bigger chance of eventually going downhill.
What about long manga?
