You have to watch both parts, because it doesn't finish in the first movies.
Personally I prefer it to the anime because it gets to the point faster, and it doesn't deal with the Near/Mellow arc that I hated.

Really looking forward to Highschool of The Dead's next season. Also, been wanting to watch the live action Death Note movie for a while, going to see if I can borrow it off a friend. Have any of you seen it?
I've seen all 3 of the live action Death Note movies and I must say they weren't too bad.
So Sam, I was discussing SAO with someone and they discovered there's an infamous sex scene in the light novel of Sword Art Online, and here's a quote from it:
I shit you not

:haha: Is that actually what it says in Japanese, or is that just the bad translation to English?
I remember in the show, they do imply sex. But it's very downplayed.
It's in chapter 16.5 in the light novel, which is an extra compared to serialized chapters from whatever magazine it was from.
The anime also heavily downplays the fact that Asuna gets raped in the Elfheim arc.
So Sam, I found a series you might be interested in:
Quote:In 2016, a catastrophe occurs after a nuclear meltdown from the nearby Odaiba nuclear power plant contaminates Tokyo, forcing the government to order its citizens to evacuate. 20 years later, Tokyo has become a ghost town due to the high levels of radiation which the government has banned entry for anyone. When a distress signal is received from Tokyo, the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force dispatches 3 teenage girls from the Dispatch 3rd Special Force Coppelion, who comprise the "Healthcare Team". Due to genetic engineering, the Coppelions are immune to radiation while also possessing special skills. Thus the Coppelions journey to the ruined capital to find survivors.
It's a 13 episoder, and I haven't finished it yet, but I like it so far. I might have to start on the manga to see more into the story, because I really like the premise. It's really good at creating the post-nuclear disaster of Tokyo and it really looks like an abandoned city, and I like how they depict people who are still living there.

I'll have to check it out. For right now, I'm on a gaming binge, lol. I've almost finished the Mass Effect series, and then there's a whole list still after that.
Anime amd manga are pretty much my obbsession as of late. And Grungie is the one responsible to introducing mr to my now favorite genre.
My top three anime would probably be (in no order):
Say "I Love You"
Mysterious Girlfriend X
Attack on Titan
Watch anime is pretty much what I do all day everyday.
I watched all the Coppelion episodes. Not bad, a bit different than what I am used to. You notice the twins were named Riku and Sora? Was that from Kingdom Hearts or are those common names in Japan?
I really need to finish up SOA, lol. I just bought another long RPG though...
