Nah, I just don't have a high opinion of US high school systems.
Anyway, I know you just saw this...but for those who haven't:

Bye bye, Ghibli!
Eh, I think people just love making it seem like the US is the worst place in the world to live (well UG does at least). It was kind of a shock going to other forums and seeing Europoors actually being positive about America. Even in Japan, it's considered a cool thing that someone studied in America, "wow, you must be smart" to transfer students coming from the US, and have high expectations.
@ the Ghibli post, the stuff Stewie said kind of shows that he either doesn't really know what he's talking about, or he's just being a prick (or both). It's kind of hard to tell with him sometimes.

Nah, I think the US has a lot of good points to it. Secondary education is NOT one of them.

Our post-secondary education system is great. Our secondary is poor. (I don't know if Europeans get that.) Do some research on how US secondary education compares to European secondary education.
Edit:
Here's one to get you started:

It's Stewie, man.
Well my comment with Japan thinking "wow you're smart" applies to high school, so idk with that. I have done research, and I will admit we're not as good, or rated as highly as some European countries, but it's not as piss poor as some people make it out to be. Basically our shit all smells the same, some might take healthier shits, but it's still shit.
Europeans on other forums are cool with our colleges, so it's just UG being UG.
Though with regards to Stewie, I'm pretty sure he just likes acting like a jackass. Him and Element both think they're cool for acting like they're super badass for hating on nerdy people and nerdy shit. Though with Stewie, we're also talking about a guy who writes songs about wizards and dragons, and does some other really nerdy shit.

Yeah, true.

UG never was the most...logical forum.

Like I said, it's Stewie, man.
So I started on another Shaft series called Maria Holic, and like every Shaft show (excluding Nisekoi) I keep wondering "what the fuck am I watching?" It also doesn't help when their batshit crazy director copied and pasted a good chunk of the main cast from his science experiment Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, but at least the animation isn't as wacky... yet
It's about this not so closet lesbian named Kanako, who trasfers to a Christian all girls school to find love, and also because her androphobia is so severe, she gets hives if a boy even touches her. Not surprising in the fucking slightest, she meets a girl named Maria, who is a total rich girl babe with a maid who follows her around. Being the lesbian she is, Kanako is smitten with her, and Maria is such a sweetheart and offers to give her a tour of the school that afternoon!
Kanako meets her roommate, and zomg, she too is a babe! So far it seems like a wonderful first day at her new school, and Kanako is looking forward to her life at her new school. She then goes to find Maria for her campus tour, and she then finds out that Maria is not only a crossdressing male, he's also batshit insane, and a cold hearted bastard. To make sure that Kanako isn't leaking out his secret, he then "makes arrangements" and becomes Kanako's roommate to monitor her as much as possible.
What will poor Kanako do?
:haha: Who the fuck comes up with that kind of plot?
:haha:
Man do I love the dialog in this show:
