It's hard to tell with Square
True. I do think though, since Square Enix owns Edios (the studio responsible for the Deus Ex games) and has ported many of their titles to PC in the past (there's a load of SE games on Steam), they could release a PC version of FF15. We'll see. Capability does not always mean inclination...
All I can say is, don't get your hopes up when it comes to Square and unannounced things. They're not really known for catering to their fans, which in some ways I admire them doing this. I don't blame them sometimes when you see how the vocal parts of their fanbase are. I'm not throwing out the possibility of a PC port, but keep an expectation of it not coming out when you want it to. FF16 will be coming out and they'll say "uhm yeah, I think it's about time for that PC port of FF15".

Probably. In the mean time, I know the latest Deus Ex (and the backlog of SE JRPGs that aren't Final Fantasy) will keep me until then. lol

Honestly, SE is really one of the few large studios/publishers I still respect. When it comes to other big gaming companies, I tend to respect their subsidiary studios over the parent companies. [Image: LC9DQwf.gif]
I like that they do whatever they want with their games and largely ignore peoples' suggestions.

Yeah, definitely. And their storytelling is awesome! (Some games better than others, but still.)
I'm stoked for Dragon Quest XI. The 3DS version of the game looks very interesting compared to the PS4 and the Nintendo NX. This is gonna be hard when I get a PS4
I wouldn't know. I never got into the Dragon Quest series. Too much other stuff. Is it a series that one can start on a later game, sorta like FF (because the stories/worlds are all different)? Or are all the games connected, storywise?
Yes and no. The first 6 games are two trilogies, but they're very loosely connected, so it doesn't really matter. Especially with the second trilogy barely having anything to do with each other besides castle Zenithia.

The series is more consistent in terms of gameplay and settings, unlike Final Fantasy where a lot of them feel like a completely different game from each other.

Hmmm...well, that could be good or bad. Maybe I'll check it out. Eventually...lol.

Anyway, just wondering, are you playing FF14 at all? What do you think? How have you been leveling up? What do you think of the main scenario questline? What server are you on?
The first trilogy is sort of like the first three Zelda games. You have the game, then sequel, then prequel to the first game. You first play as an alleged descendant of the legendary hero Erdrick and fulfill the prophecy that you are the decendant. The second game you play as a further decendant, and you run into the son of the main antagonist from the first game. Then in the third game you become Erdrick and you start the like that leads into DQ1.

I'm on the Diablos server, I'm on like lvl 18. I'm planning on moving my character to Leviathan where my irl buddy is on. I'm mostly leveling from questing.
