Nah, I got the point.

I'm making a side-point.

Well, there's certain fish that tend to eat grosser stuff than others. A non-crustacean example are sharks, which will eat just about anything that fits in their shark mouths. So, I don't eat shark fin soup or anything like that. (Not that it's hard, because shark fin soup is hardly normal cuisine for my family, lol.)
Tbh a lot of carnivorous fish are like that.
Ehhh, what something eats doesn't bother when I'm eating it, so long as it's normal/healthy. I mean, beef that's been fed on beef is not good, because of the disease implications and such, but if something eats faeces as its natural diet, it doesn't faze me too much. It gets cooked (in most cases) anyway and it all gets turned into bodily chemicals anyway, no matter what they eat. I do get that the idea of something that feeds on shit (figurative and literal) isn't particularly pleasant, so I figure why you wouldn't want to. Different folks and all that.
Yeah, as long as there isn't build-up of potentially poisonous chemicals I'm not too bothered.
Exactly. Like, the diet of a polar bear isn't great for eating its liver, because it has poisonous levels of vitamin A, so I'm not keen on that, but a crawfish's diet doesn't bother because it won't kill me. :haha:
Yeah, or like a lot of fish have can have toxic mercury levels if I remember right. Or anything higher up in the food chain, because the mercury just gets more concentrated.
Basically everything is unhealthy for you.
The revolutionary diet for losing weight and avoiding all that food that's bad for you: eating nothing at all!

I mean I guess it would be weird watching Doctor Who dubbed in another language because I recognize all the actors voices, but I wouldn't bitch about it much unless someone had an annoying voice or something that blatantly didn't fit, because obviously they are going to have different people voicing it. It would be ridiculous if the original actors went back and did everything in like 20 languages.

I forgot to respond to this, but yeah, it's mostly just a "it's different so it sucks" thing. You see this a lot with retro RPG's who get enhanced ports with better translated scripts. For years you see fans complain about how the text is either choppy or has plot holes, so the gaming companies finally give the fans what they wanted: their classic game on a modern console, and with a more accurate script.

So if the first English release of the game had a butchered translation, there's usually no complaint over dialog changes (see Final Fantasy II on the SNES). Though if the script is half-way decent, there's a bitch fit. Largely because the more infamous lines in the game are the bad lines, and they find out those are gone, and the new translation that's closer to the original Japanese version isn't a lost epic that they expected.

What I find baffling is when they don't translated a joke, and none of the English fans don't get it, so when the new translation comes out, they're pissed "oh no, the joke makes sense!". Especially if it's a joke where someone gets a dorky nickname, and they think it sounds "cooler" in Japanese and the English name is dorky, despite that was the point.

Like in Star Ocean 2, this girl has poor choice in names, so she names these two dragons Creepy and Weepy based on their looks, and all the characters give her shit for it. In the original PS1 version, they kept the Japanese names Gyoro and Ururun (basically the same as creepy and weepy), and the characters have the same reaction, but none of the English fans get there was a joke. There's several pages of people bitching about it, and not realizing they were missing a joke.

Basically the importing industry used to get shit for not doing a good job translating, but now the new thing is to bitch at the industry for correctly translating things. It's amazing how everything is backwards now.

Sharks are particularly bad about it though. I mean, seriously...they have found everything from tires to chain link fencing to metal cans in the stomach of sharks.
