I really want to try crawfish. Looks delicious. Can't really get it up here :haha:

Lol@ your mom. You should try crawfish, it's like crack, you can't have just a few.

I kind of hate when you use a genre name or some kind of a term, and someone asks you what the hell it is, then you explain it and you get among the lines of "nobody cares". It's like... why ask what it is if you don't care?
People think crawdads are gross? (I'm assuming crawdads are the same as crawfish, just the southwest name for them.) I haven't had them in a long time but I remember them being really good.
Yeah, they're the same thing. I find it hilarious when people at a buffet see me with a plate of them and say "ewww gross" and I think really? You eat fucking crab, shrimp and lobster, but you won't eat crawfish? It's one thing you hate eating all crustaceans, but why single out crawfish?

Well, this was actually someone other the the guy who asked that said, "Nobody cares". The guy who asked actually told me he did care and said thanks.

Yea, a ton of people up here think they look disgusting. I've heard it quite a few times.

I mean, like I said, I haven't tried it, so I don't know if I would like it, but I think it looks great.
If they serve it at restaurants (in the US) I'm pretty sure its not gross. I mean there are foods I don't like, but I don't think other people are weird for eating them. People are dumb.
I had crawfish once and thought that it tasted good.

As for the slang term, I've heard them called 'crawdeads' (that's what it sounds like anyway) in the boring non-coastal west that's neither north, south, or the midwest (I'm not even sure what to call Utah. 'Mountain region' I guess.)

Weird, it seriously just a mini lobster, haha. And pretty much everyone considers lobster to be high class.

This is how crawfish look in a US restaurant:

So, as grungie said, small lobster. I've never had them, but I really don't feel like having them either. Crawfish basically eat the garbage stuff in the ocean.
Lol, crawfish don't live in the ocean.

That's what I find that doesn't make any sense. It's a small lobster, and they can eat lobster and any other crustacean, but crawfish? Awe hell naw, take that away from me. They're missing out on good stuff.
