Gotta love seeing people who have to download all their music in FLAC or their videos in 1080P and they either listen to their music through their cheap laptop speakers, or their monitor or TV isn't even in 1080P resolution. It's like... what's the point? You're wasting space for the quality you're not getting.

Anyway, a quick update on my situation: We've decided to take an indefinite break. We'll obviously remain close, but we need that bit of extra space to get things sorted. I certainly do, I could feel myself slipping real bad. I did give in to it at one point and tried to end things, but I quickly recovered the situation and we talked and it's all good. But yeah, things will be a lot easier now hopefully. Plus it's the Easter holidays, so I get over two weeks college-free.
Fuck. Yes.
That place is depressing as hell. Mainly because people have no respect and leave the place as dirty as a pig sty, so much so the cleaners can't clean it properly every night, meaning the place is never properly clean. I feel really sorry for the cleaners, they must hate their jobs. There's this one corridor/stairwell in the A-Level block where the fucking worst of the worst dwell. They're dirty, loud, obnoxious and one or two are downright malicious. Mostly they're stupid, which sounds harsh, but it's pretty close to true. Everyone's sick of the way they treat the place. The worse bit is, most of them don't even do A-Levels, so they leave us A-Levelers to put up with their litter and smell (OH THE SMELL - it literally smells like something's died in there and it has a distinctly mouldy aroma) when they go off to do their BTECs.
(I know this terminology won't mean anything to most of you, but basically BTECs are generally easier - though not always, as it depends on the type and level of the course - and are stigmatised because they tend to attract the people who aren't too bright and didn't do well in secondary school. Many people who are on BTECs aren't at all like that, but you do get a lot of people trying to coast through)
The corridor has many names - Death Valley, [local city] Landfill, The Losers' Hole, Where Hope Goes to Die etc etc - none of them are complimentary. It's a depressing place. It's also a fire exit. So if a fire is started, escape is going to be difficult because of all the bodies already piled up in the relatively narrow exit. Not only that, but two weeks ago someone was trying to make a fire there - in the goddamn fire exit. Now you see why I say they're stupid.

Anyway, that's probably a good step. Sometimes, both people need to step back and think about things a bit.

I always find it interesting when I see people who are used to pirating things , then they talk about the time they went to the store to buy said thing, and they look at the price and say "holy shit this costs more than a couple of bucks, those greedy corporate bastards!!!"
My favorite is "holy shit an entire season of a TV show costs more than a single movie FUCK YOU CAPITALISM!!!"
