This rant is over something kind of dumb.

So yesterday we were going around town shopping and it was getting late, so it was time to figure out where we were going to eat for dinner. So generally with our family, when we're eating out for dinner, we never go to a straight up fast food restaurant like Burger King and such, so those are never an option.

So basically I told them I don't want to eat any Taco Bell style restaurant, and I was not in the mood for Chinese restaurants, and my mom also didn't want to go to a Chinese buffet as it was almost 8 and my mom says that most Chinese buffets stop making fresh food after 8. So clearly those two types were not an option.

So we drive around town and guess what, my dad points out and suggests every fucking Chinese restaurant and Taco Bell-esque place we drive by, and everything else is like Burger King and Wendys, (also my mom didn't want to go to those family restaurants like Applebees or Chilis as she doesn't want to wait that long) so we didn't really have any idea where to eat, but my dad bitches at me for "being picky".

So he's bitching about how I'm the antagonist of the evening for being fussy about where I want to eat when he's constantly suggesting me the two options I did not want to go to, and not going to places that either he or my mom refused to go to.
It always bothers me when people criticize reviews as "too shallow", because the reviewer was writing to the general public (not the dedicated fans). As an example: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/reviews/c...index.html

Do you think that the majority of people want an in-depth review? No, because 90% of them are like me, they like some Iced Earth but aren't dedicated fans. They want to know the basics and then listen to the rest to get the details. Album reviews are NOT meant to be in-depth analysis of every song.
I don't see anything wrong with that, because isn't part of the point of a review is to get someone interested and not interested in what you're reviewing, and that includes people who aren't already fans?

Exactly. And the people who were already fans (see the first two comments) were bitching because the reviewer didn't go into how it was a continuation of X/Y. Blah blah blah.

Here's how a casual listener thinks, "Give me the main ideas".
I can kind of see both sides, though it is UG and a lot of the people who comment on those types of things aren't really that bright.

Like look at all those "top 10 X" threads and people whine about the staff being biased, despite those same users voted for those entries.

True
Ugh, I just spent 2 hours removing malware and viruses from my PC (and all the other PCs in my house). 24 instances of malware on my machine. Yay...

The people who develop this kind of shit are definitely the biggest shitbags in the computer world. Fuck all of you, malware creators!
That's what you get for looking up all that fantasy porn.

Typing that post reminded me on that thread about dinosaur erotica that Stewie made.
