I feel afraid of thinking things over, as if thinking about it at the current moment could only make things worse :\

I'm starting to feel physically ill...
Do you have any sleeping pills? Or maybe a bit of wine? Or an herbal tea that helps you sleep?

What I'm getting at is, maybe you should take something that safely causes you to become tired and then go to bed. You will probably be less anxious in the morning.
Yeah that's likely, even though I feel like I should be working on something instead of going to bed... but I'll try it.

Thanks, you guys.
Anytime, Joel! Sleep well.
Is it general anxiety or panic attack? For panic attacks I would recommend this: Count from 300 back in 7's. It will preoccupy your brain and force it to shut down the fight or flight response. Whatever you do...do NOT try and think things over because your mind will go to places you do not want to go and end up stressing you out even more. Trust me.

To help you sleep, try this: Lie in bed and then tense every muscle in your body and hold for 20 s before relaxing completely. Repeat this 3 - 5 times. The tension and relaxation of the muscles will induce the production of the "sleep hormone", I think its tryptophan. Try it, its worked for me before. Hope some of this helps you.
General anxiety. I feel better from the other day but I'll take your advice at a later time when I need it again. Thanks.

Actually I think I'll try inducing sleep right now because it's 20 to 2 AM right now
One thing I used to do when I would have trouble sleeping is say the rosary, as weird as that sounds. Not in a religious way, just that it keeps repeating, you have to pay attention, and it's boring as shit. Just relaxes your mind

You can really put anything in there to replace it, I guess kinda like Debbie's counting backwards example. It always worked for me.

Idk, just a suggestion for something like that.
I was always told to read Confusedhrug:

My issue is, I'm reading. And then it feels like 5 min. But next thing I know, it's like 1AM, and I'm going, "SHIT! I have to wake up in 6 hours!" If I drink some herbal tea though (I have a few varieties that aid sleep) or drink some wine/hard liquor, then I get drowsy enough to sleep after 30min or so.

Of course, if I didn't usually have like 3 or 4 books on my reading queue, that probably would help...lol...
