Yeah I agree. I think I'm probably one of those guys that makes excuses for people sometimes, but I am aware that people still need consequences when they do bad things (such as getting kicked out when you don't pay rent, that's perfectly reasonable reaction) and I don't get mad if someone says "well they deserved it" by saying they didn't because of their issues or whatever, because making someone out to be an ass for saying someone should be punished is ridiculous.
Idk if I wanna call this a rant, but I'll just post this here.

So on the same forum as that goofy 30 year old I love talking about, the admin is also kind of strange. Even though this guy does share some similarities to the 30 year old, it's not in a douchy obnoxious way, just in an oddball kind of way. Kind of like Axelfox, but Axel says he has aspergers, so that at least explains some of how he acts. So this guy doesn't piss me off, he just has me scratching my head at the way he acts, as I can't tell if he either has some social disorder, is just really goofy, or is just plain stupid. Fantasy knows who I'm talking about, so maybe he has a few cents to add in later.

Any who, one thing he does all the time, is have weird troll logic that makes sense to nobody else but him, and when you ask him about it, his explains ruin is either really vague, or it just doesn't make sense. One thing he's done a few times, is say he has no interest in a hobby (or doesn't like it), but he's clearly showing signs of enjoying it, and investing a ton of money on it. I have two examples of this: he says he has no interest in manga, and doesn't really like it, but he'll regularly buy more, and talk about "omg once I start on one, I can't put it down until I finish it!". The other example is over Minecraft. He says he dislikes the game, but he regularly posts about how much he's enjoying it, and it seems like he plays it for several hours a day. Clearly he's enjoying the hell out of things he apparently has no interest in. When me and another user ask him about that, his reasonin behind it makes just as little sense:

"I thought you didn't like Minecraft?"
"I don't"
"So why do you play it a lot?"
"But I don't like Minecract"
Like... What?

He also types really really bad. First I thought that English wasn't his first language, but this guy is born and raised in the US, so idk what the hell is deal is. One of his friends thinks he types like that on purpose, as he can type articles for the website and such, and they're typed normally, but there's times where even he doesn't know what's up with that.

I posted this before, but here's a screenshot of his post:

There's a few other things, but this is kind of a start.
If there's a kind of person I really CANNOT stand, given my knack for over-analyzing situations, is someone who is constantly changing their mind about absolutely everything, as if they do it on purpose. Good God, that pisses me off so much.
Lol yeah, definitely one of the reasons I stopped being friends with Inst
I really hate reading comments for a top 10 (or whatever number) countdown list, and it's not just the people complaining "why isn't X on this list?" it's when the list has requirements, and the thing they're complaining about doesn't fit the requirements.

For example, I was watching ProJared's video of top 10 RPG's not made by Square Enix (this includes games made by Squaresoft and Enix prior to the merge), and for reasons explained at the beginning of the video, this list is only over more "standard" RPG's, so no SRPG's, no Action RPG's, and to make the list really simple, no games on handhelds.

So here's what I see in the comments:

"Why isn't Pokemon on here?" < because Jared said no handhelds
"Why isn't Bravely Default on here?" < because it's made by Square Enix
"Why are there no Tales of games?" < because it's an Action RPG

It's like they didn't even watch the video.
I know what you mean.

Also, Bravely Default is also handheld lel
FUUUUUU

Blog post update (this was originally intended for the where do you work thread but I'm putting it here, because posting it here means that it's pre-established that this post is stupid in a self-aware way):

lol it's mid July and I still haven't gotten a job. Since June I've been applying to on average one place a day and still nothing since that 'interview' in April. Just turned in four yesterday and am filling out more. It's getting really pathetic since I've tried multiple things with no results. What's annoying is that there is so much I want to do but I basically have to wait around until I get a job which is a tremendous waste of time. I have many goals I am taking action on but am not getting results quickly enough. I've been getting college stuff sorted out but I need a job before I can really become self-sufficient in paying for it myself. The only reason I can 'pay' for my first semester is because relatives gave me a thousand dollars of 'graduation money'. So I'm basically an undeserving prick. Even then classes don't start for over a month so I'm just waiting around until then. As far as my musical goals go, my goal for this year was simply to become extremely good (so I can be ready next to year to actually do stuff). I am making progress but I am not becoming really fucking good quickly enough. Other stuff (like vocal coaching) I can't do until I get a job, as well as some other stuff I need. Plus no studios are excepting interns or anything so I just have to wait around for that too. And then of course I'm just at home all day except for when I'm applying for jobs because I can't really be doing anything else. While I'm at home I'm just practicing music and trying to become educated on various topics, which is not a respectable thing to do.

I have it good so I'm not complaining about that so this is more of a 'I could be doing so much beneficial work and I'm just waiting around' complaint. Confusedunny:

That's good and all but now it's time for some existentialist crisis shit: There are people I went to school with who have semi-established career paths, are in some cases married, and in a few cases have kids. Kids at 18 is IMO a bad idea, but there's something pathetic about the fact that many of my peers have sorted their lives out, while I'm just browsing the internet, reading a translated Quran just 'cause, and wondering why not even McDonald's will hire me. :confuz:

In other words I'm basically still just a pathetic kid but there's nothing I can do to change it overnight.

Discuss your thoughts about how you compare now with what your ultimate life vision is. :king:
It's always disappointing when you're trying to help someone not look like an idiot, but they just straight up blow off your advice. I was trying to help out that goofy 30 year old weaboo I love ranting about by telling him that his actions dictate the opposite of his alleged stance over a website.

I mentioned more than once about his flip floppig stance over the anime streaming site Crunchyroll, and now his current stance is that he still only watches shows on their website, but he now uses adblock "because he no longer supports the website."

So here's where I tried helping him out, I was telling him that he needs to basically stop saying that he "doesn't support the site" when he only watches their videos, is an active member on their forums, and advertising their shows by constantly posting links to them. So after explaining that to him, this is what his response is:

Quote:I'm not going to waste my time going into a worthless debate with you and that is final.

I'm trying to help this guy out, but clearly he doesn't give a shit.
