I don't understand most college-age nihilists. You know, the guys who spout off that life is meaningless and don't even understand nihilism properly, because they're misinterpreting Nietzche. (Some of them are even arrogant enough to believe heavy metal came into existence ONLY because of nihilism. ) They tend to sit there and tell everyone how life is meaningless.

Ok...so, if it's so meaningless, why do you even bother? Either you're a coward, who doesn't have the guts to end what's apparently meaningless; or your life isn't as meaningless as you want us all to believe.
It's first semester into to Philosophy bullshit.

Which most of those idiots either flunked or never took. Or they bullshitted their way through it, not having learned a damn thing.

Isn't this how everyone passes philosophy?

Well...yes. But if you didn't learn a thing, then you wasted $500 or whatever it cost to take class, imho.
True, but that's pretty much every Philosophy major.
Yeah, I know. lol
Yeah, those UG people... I dunno why I'm going on there again.
I'm like the only guy in my philosophy class who is legit interested in the subject... it's kinda sad. But at least nobody I know is one of those nihilists you talk about, Sam.

But yeah, I'm quite nihilistic myself if you think about it, for many things (but I have been for a while now, almost ever since I started getting into philosophy), which is something I struggle with a lot still. Good thing I'm agnostic, so I have that sliver of hope... but that causes other existential problems.

Which God must I worship? Should I eat animals? Is it unethical to tell people how they should behave or is it unethical to live and let live and thus allow them to behave unethically? Is it wrong to sometimes violate an objective ethical code if one exists? Where should we draw the lines when it comes to laws?

You actually know Nietzche's stuff though. You don't come off as a whiny, almost emo antihero wannabe. lol.
